John F. Bild Memorial Eagle Project Grants

The St. Louis Eagle Scout Association provides grants for Eagle Scout projects. Named after past president of the ESA, John F Bild, these grants are awarded based on their effect on the community along with their uniqueness, quality, and financial needs of the project. Since this program's inception in 2016, we have awarded over $11,000.00 towards Eagle Scout projects. Typical grants range from $50.00 - $200.00, with our average grant size being approximately $200.00. Grants will be awarded in the form of checks for reimbursement of materials.  Scouts wishing to apply for a grant must meet the following criteria:

  • Scouts must be a part of the Greater St. Louis Area Council
  • Projects must be first approved by their District's Eagle Board and beneficiary.

Application Deadline

All grant applications are due on the 15th of the month to be consider and awarded by the first week the next month (i.e. If you submit your application on January 15th.  Your application will be reviewed at the January committee meeting and will be awarded by the first week in February.)
